An MoU was signed yesterday at the state capital between the Department of Karmik & Adhyatmik (Chos-Rig) Affairs, represented by Secretary, DoKAA and the Chedug Charitable Foundation, represented by Lama Sherap.

The state government provided a Corpus Fund of Rs Fifty Lakhs to Chedug Charitable Foundation, Lumla, in presence of Parliamentary Secretary for RWD and Lumla MLA Jambey Tashi, Director DoKAA Karma Leki, Asstt.Director and Supdtt. DoKAA.

Jambey Tashi, on behalf of the denizens of 1 Lumla ST constituency, extended gratitude and thanked the noble gesture of Chief minister Nabam Tuki, who is also the minister In charge of DoKAA for the upliftment and education of poor, downtrodden, orphans & destitute children in backward areas.

“A similar Corpus fund of Rs. 1 Crore was also provided to another charitable organisation, Jamtse Gatsel Children’s Community, Lumla. The Corpus fund materialized due to the constant and untiring effort of Jambey Tashi”, informed DoKAA Assistant Director Genden Norbu.

“These Educational Institutions have been set up in the Dhakpaneng area, one of the most backward areas of Tawang, to provide finest education, especially to the Orphans, destitute and downtrodden children”, he added.

Buoyed with the development, DoKAA Chairman Jambey Wangdi expressed optimism that the education scenerio in the Dhakpaneng area will get extreme boost and the Children will march forth and excel in the platform of Literacy.
